CLAY, RESIN & JEWELLERY FINDINGS

To ensure the longevity and vibrant color of your earrings, it is important to avoid storing them in direct sunlight or high temperatures. Exposure to heat and sunlight can lead to discoloration and damage. While polymer clay is resilient, treating it like ceramic is recommended, as it can be susceptible to damage if dropped or knocked against a hard surface. Take care to handle and store your earrings with caution to preserve their beauty.

We incorporate a variety of metals for our jewellery findings, with a focus on stainless steel and coated base metals for our costume jewellery, rather than precious metals. Over time, these metals may experience tarnishing, but you can easily restore their shine using jewellery tarnish removal products. The speed and intensity of tarnishing can be affected by environmental factors. To minimize tarnishing, we recommend storing your jewellery in an airtight container along with a tarnish prevention cloth. For earrings, we primarily use hypoallergenic surgical stainless steel for posts and hoops, ensuring comfort for most wearers. In some cases, we may utilize other metals, which will be indicated on the product listing pages. If you have any concerns about caring for your jewellery, please feel free to contact us for assistance.

CARING FOR YOUR WATTLE WOMAN EARRINGS

  • To remove your earrings from the backing card or your ears, carefully slide the earring back from the main stud, being mindful not to flex or bend the clay excessively as they are handmade and require gentle handling.
  • For optimal storage, keep your earrings in a dry place, preferably on display, particularly for our dangles range.

  • Polymer clay products are not water-resistant, so ensure your Wattle Woman products remain dry at all times.

  • To clean, gently wipe over with a damp cloth, and avoid contact with liquids such as perfumes and body lotions, as they may compromise and discolour your Wattle Woman products.

  • If, despite following these instructions, you find that your products do not meet our high standards, please contact us directly.
